Teach a girl, feed a village

Our Work

At its core, PACE educates girls, but its reach extends beyond the classroom to empower women and improve the livelihood of the entire community.

In addition to a complete academic curriculum, PACE provides its students with critical knowledge about their environment, meaningful engagement with their culture, an understanding of community through service, and the opportunity to explore their futures through personal and professional developmentWhat’s more, two daily meals, vitamins, and medical care guarantee that students benefit completely from their education. It is this education that serves as the foundation upon which young girls grow into healthy, informed, productive and empowered women.

PACE provides women with the tools they need to become agents of change within their homes and throughout their communities. PACE's literacy programs equip women with the basic literacy, math skills and practical knowledge required for daily living. Educated mothers are more likely to send their children to school than uneducated mothers. PACE's vocational training programs teach women income-generating skills. In more financially secure homes, children--especially girls--are able to attend and remain in school. PACE invests in women who are then empowered to move themselves, their families, and their communities out of the grip of poverty.
